How to roast pumpkin seeds

I try not to waste anything in my kitchen and pumpkin seeds are no exception. I love roasted pumpkin seeds; I think they make a delicious and healthy snack. Once they are roasted they keep for a very long time.

Rinse your pumpkin seeds in cool water to remove any pulp or slime. Let dry in a fine mesh strainer for 15 minutes. Spread out on a parchment lined and lightly sprinkle with sea salt. Bake at 300 degrees F for 40 minutes, stirring occasionally.

That's all you need for basic roasted pumpkin seeds. Feel free to spice them up with just about anything. A quick and easy way is to use a pre-made spice mix such as garam masala, Chinese 5 spice or chili powder.
